Many people in this time especially need emotional and spiritual support. The Holy Scripture gives us the opportunity to see God as the One Who can give internal support and hope in any life situation.
The Bible Society of Kyrgyzstan, having a desire to help people, has created a project in which it invites you to get acquainted with the “Trauma Healing” program and take part in it. Based on the authority of God’s Word, a team of theologians, doctors and Bible translators created a program to help people in their most difficult periods of lives.
“Trauma Healing” has been used in refugee camps, war zones, churches, social organizations, families, and more. The program is successfully used by chaplains and social workers, as well as ordinary believers around the world, representing different Christian denominations.
Within the framework of this project, a team of qualified facilitators conducts the course “Trauma Healing”.
The purpose of the project is to provide spiritual and emotional help, as well as support to people who have experienced difficult periods of life, crisis, loss, persecution, violence.

The purpose of the project is to provide spiritual and emotional help, as well as support to people who have experienced difficult periods of life, crisis, loss, persecution, violence.
The project is carried out in the following areas:
- Organization and conducting of seminars to train counselors who want to learn how to conduct support groups for the “Trauma Healing” program. The number of participants is 20-35 people. The required total time for the seminar is 24 hours. (The schedule is set by the inviting party). The seminar is held in the format of live communication, which gives the maximum effect from the meetings, however, because of the difficulties of modern times, there is an opportunity of learning “online” through Zoom.
- Organization and conducting of seminars to train counselors who want to learn how to conduct support groups for the «Beyond Disaster» manual. The number of participants is 20-30 people. The required total time for the seminar is 8 hours. The seminar is held in the format of live communication by professional group facilitators. This gives the maximum effect from meetings, however, because of the difficulties of modern times, there is an opportunity of learning “online” through Zoom.
- Participation in conducting support groups «Beyond Disaster» together with trained facilitators. Mentor’s support. The number of participants is up to 10 people. Groups are held in the form of live meetings.
- Conducting support groups on «Beyond Disaster» by professional facilitators. The number of participants is up to 10 people. Online meeting format.

Description of the “Trauma Healing” program:
The program is based on Holy Scripture and Christian principles of counseling. The application of this program is relevant for people who believe or recognize the Bible as authority. It has practical advice and the direction in which the church can minister to people in need in various types of trauma, such as loss of a loved one, violence, conflicts and other life crises.
The training and implementation of the program is carried out in the technique of “involvement”, which is the most relevant and effective to these days.
After completing the program, most of the ministers begin to effectively lead groups for people in need of emotional and spiritual recovery. They carry out the ministry of counseling in their churches, as well as conducting personal counseling. Successful and active ministers are drawn into the global movement of the “Trauma Healing” program based on their experience and language skills.
Participants of seminars and groups receive skills in managing their own emotional state, taking care of their personal stability. As a result, this affects their families and churches in a creative way, bringing people closer and strengthening relationships between them.
Description of «Beyond Disaster» manual:
Based on Scripture and Christian counseling principles. The application of it is relevant for people who believe or recognize the Bible as authority. The manual contains brief instructions and will help to accompany a person in the process of going through a crisis or immediately after it. It contains compressed information from the “Traumas Healing” program. It also has practical tips and advices.
Those who trained can accompany an individual, family or small group through a crisis. They also have the opportunity to receive mentoring and personal consultations from a professional psychologist, as well as senior program facilitators.
